Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Pay: $20.00+/hour, based on experience
Shift: 12 :00a m-8:30/10 :00 am

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload, and organize materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has strong forklift experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move and store materials
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, shelves, and storage areas
• Verify incoming materials against bills of lading
• Safely secure materials for transportation using straps, bracing, and padding
• Count, weigh, label, and record materials as required
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records
• Use hand trucks, hoists, and other material-handling equipment
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of stand-up or sit-down forklift experience required
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift, push, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally handle materials up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
