Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift to support our client's healthcare facility in Stamford, CT. This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location: Stamford, CT 06905

Job Type: Local contract

Contract Length: 13+ weeks

Pay Range: $20 to $26/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens safely and accurately.
• Collect specimens from pediatric and geriatric patients, including capillary collections.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and help them feel comfortable throughout the process.
• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the required patient signature after venipuncture.
• Confirm that specimen tubes are labeled in the patient's presence and that labels match the patient's information.
• Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections .
