Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/MIG and TIG Welder to join our team. With one of the country's leading suppliers to contractors of commercial and industrial sheet metal ductwork with an extensive line of round, flat oval, and rectangular ductwork and related items such as acoustical products and sealant.s The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding processes, including MIG and TIG, and will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes and standards. The successful applicant will work in various settings, including construction sites and manufacturing facilities.

Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
• Conduct assembly of metal components and structures as per project requirements.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the worksite.
• Perform pipe threading, ductwork installation, and rigging as needed for specific projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MIG welding and TIG welding techniques is essential.
• Proven machine operation (i.e. press brakes, roll formers, and shears)
• Perform MIG/TIG welding on various metals (galvanized, sheet metal, aluminum & stainless)
• Familiarity with fabrication processes including machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and the use of press brake machines.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools accurately.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively to execute projects accurately.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding practices is a plus.
